Spammed on the Street

Sfspam_1030 I was driving down Lombard Street in San Francisco and ended up in back of this character. How ironic that the No Spam company would be cluttering the highways with commercial messages that we are forced to notice. So I was effectively spammed by a No Spam guy. Of the best developments in the online industry has been the reduction of spam. It has made many of us who are often cynical about technology more optimistic. In a few years the online community industry has developed a discipline towards making itself more sensitive to the users through spam filters. While not perfect, the trend is in the right direction. How can we bring this same discipline to the streets? How can we police ourselves without governmental intervention? Maybe using the web this way is one approach.

Best,
